Update July 30, 2005
http://www.livin-it-up.net

Welcome to another Livin-It-Up update. Fact is, welcome to one of the final
few Livin-It-Up updates. Yes folks, primarily for financial reasons, at this
point the end is inevitable for our site, merely a matter of when. So, as we
will, enjoy it while it remains. We've had our moment in the spotlight,
quite enjoyed it, and thank you all for making that opportunity possible for
the past four years.

Ehh, I could get off on some sentimental tangent, but prefer the simple
announcement. Sad news aside, enjoy our update.

We open with some great new Sims2 skins. From Slim, the latest Slimwear for
the ladies, perfect for a hot night out, or a day at the office. Y'all work
in a brothel right? For the guys, some great new T's. For the kiddies, guys
and gals alike, some great new outfits from Slim and Asif. A great new
variety of skins.

For your Sims2 object color options fix, a new nursery set from Asif in
gorgeous lavender and a beautiful new bed by Slim.

From Similis, her take on "Home Sweet Home", a cozy little two bedroom home
fitting the most discriminating Sim.'s.

I really wish I had some profound words with which to honor the end of this
site, less seems an injustice. I can only say thank you all... I truly
believe that each experience we go through in life becomes a part of who we
are. Thank you forever for being a part of mine. Livin-It-Up had it's day in
the spotlight, running it has been a very special part of my life. For
myself, closure of the site means life changes. It's been ages since I've
financially had the means to even be on the internet, I'll not only be
retiring from the Sims community, but taking somewhat of a hiatus from the
internet as a whole. Basically, I became disabled a few years back, since
then I've done little else because frankly there's not a lot I am able to
do. Time to get a life a bit, put some of that energy toward family and
such, not to mention it's been years since I've taken time to serious play
these games, it's possible they could be fun once they're not "what you do".
So for myself, I bid you all a fond farewell.

For now, enjoy!

Dang, I'm sorry to see the site close. I don't know how to play without
my beloved flamingos.

Seriously though, without sounding too annoying, have you considered a
job in medical transcription? It's what I am doing- and I do it from
home. I consider myself mildly disabled- I am violently allergic to the
planet. Working from home is safer for me, and I can still be with the
ones I love- the pets and my sweetie- when I need to be. It certainly
pays for the internet!

Good luck, and I hope you find better days ahead.

I was so sorry to hear this. It was always one of my favorite sites. So
many older and well beloved Sims sights are gone. It's sad.
