AMD memory question

I am going to purchase 8gb of ram for my AM3 system and i found 2 kits I like and both have the same timings.. But one kit is XMP memory and is cheaper than the other BEMP kit. I'm just curious if any of this matters b/c it's an 80 dollar difference 8gb with xmp and 8gb with bemp. below are the 2 kits I am looking at.

$277 -- CORSAIR DOMINATOR 8GB (4 x 2GB) XMP

$355 -- 2x CORSAIR DOMINATOR 4GB (2 x 2GB) BEMP

Hi. Why do you need 8GB?, the only systems that use 8GB or more are the servers and like I see you don't have one. With 4GB is enough for games and applications.

I have seen an abundance of videos and articles showing that 8gb performs better than 4gb. If you give your system the option of more memory it will utilize more of the memory available. Below is a video from Corsair.

Come on men. HE IS USING AN I7-920, now, if you buy everything that you see that say "is more faster", spend another $300 and buy a SSD.

I think that you will never use the same applications at the same time that he used in the video. If you really want spend $300, buy a SSD.

Ok, IMO you don't need spend $300 in 8GB, but if you want anyway I would get the 2nd option or this

I don't know Crucial's quality personally but if it comes in stock before I order i'll definitely consider it (nice price).

^Crucial are very good. Currently I have 4GB of a similar reference of the link (also with LEDs) and the performance and OC is very good.
