Let me start out by saying I claim, in no way, to be very knowlegable on the subject of computer parts...

Anyway, i was looking at buying the GTX 275 896 MB Graphics card (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814130475&cm_re=evga_gtx_275-_-14-130-475-_-Product) to be exact, and I was wondering that if I plan to have this hooked to a 32 or 40 inch TV if this card will, 1) do the job ( i plan to play WoW, CS, CSS, ETC, along with some editing and what not, and 2) if I would be better off getting the 1786 instead. The only reason I ask is because I read something claiming that bigger screens may need the 1786 or something.

Also is this a good card for me to get in general. I am confused on whether the EVGA 275 is the same as the Nvidia 275... Someone told me they were?

Thanks for the help!

I think by saying bigger screens, only the resolution is meant, not the actual size of the screen. The EVGA 275 and the Nvidia 275 are the same, the chipset is by Nvidia but the parts are assembled by other companies such as EVGA, XFX, ASUS ...
In general its a great card. 896 MB is also sufficient, dont worry, get the EVGA or XFX as they have good reputation and have good warranty.

Let us know if you do buy it and also tell us how you like it :)

Well a new Graphics Card coming out wouldnt matter to me because either way I cant afford it. the 275 is just at my price range. Is the 275 expected to drop in price even more when the GTX 300 comes out?

I can't be sure of a price drop for the GTX275 but given that the HD4000 cards are to be discontinued after the launch of the HD5000 cards and if Nvidia can't have the GTX300 out in the market to combat the HD5000
then they might lower the price of GTX200 cards.Keep in mind that this is just a might no a must.

5850 will be in the GTX275 price range and offer twice performance, there is no point of buying ANY older geforce (or radeon for that matter) at this moment. If 5800 series will be too expensive for anyone (not like GTX275 is cheap...), in one month there will be 5700 series for much lower price.
