How do i test if motherboard or memory is faulty

how do i test if motherboard is faulty or memory my pc keep restarting on boot up??

Some BIOS have a memory checking utility

Is there any programs out there maybe i can run to test during boot up that u know of

A very quick BSOD pops up before it restarts

enter BIOS when booting up, and check if it has a memory checking application

Just installed new memory and no probs there . Formatted and installed new OS and still restarting at windows splash screen..Grrr

can you boot in safe mode?

Same prob happens in safe mode as well

What I wanted to do is disable the reboot after error option, so that way at least you can see what does the error says.

cant get in to do that, thats the prob
not getting bsod now just restarting

have you tried with a different OS?
You can download ubuntu's live CD and boot from your CD Rom, if it's hardware related it might give you an error that will give you a place to look for the bad part.

The only sure way to test is to substitute known good parts.
