Graphics card recommendations

Hey guys.
Basically I'm looking to upgrade my graphics card soon and was wondering what your suggestions would be?

Currently i have a tiny 19" flat screen on my small desk as well as my keyboard a huge Razer mouse mat and my Razer Deathadder. I have practically no room to move around on my desk so i thought I'd get rid of my monitor thus freeing up a lot of space.
I currently have a 32" LG TV on my wall in front of the desk so i will be using this as my PC screen essentially. At the moment i have a single 4850 512mb Asus card for my tiny screen which does just fine however when i make the jump to the TV the resolutions will go up and i feel that i will loose detail in my games....Which i don't want! My options are buy another 4850 to pair with my current card, A 4870 or a 4890 which i could crossfire at a later date. Recommendations of what memory size to go for would also be helpful?

Specs are as follows:

Q9550 @ 3.6 Ghz
4 GB of Crucial DDR2
ATI 4850
An X fi Fatal1ty soundcard and single 500 GB HDD etc.

If i upgrade Ill be buying a new PSU also as my current PSU has been in my PC for about four or five years and has held up brilliantly (Seasonic 600w recommended by THG few years back) and I'm not sure it'll be alive much longer. I'll probably be purchasing a 750w Corsair? Comments on that or recommendations for a better or equally good PSU would be appreciated!

Right. Any idea of a rough price estimate for the 5870? I don't mind waiting a little while for the new card if its not ridiculously expensive etc.

I was thinking of getting the 4850 and CF the two but didn't know if that'd be worth the time because of the res and becoming outdated.
Depending on when the 5870 comes out and how much it is etc i may just wait in that case and just splash out when the time comes.

another 4850 is around $100, it's the cheapest route for you. But if money is not a big deal, wait for the new cards.

Is your LG TV 1080p or 720p? If its 720p, another card won't make too much difference over a 4850.

That's possible. It's typical even. The usual computer output resolution is 1366x768 for 720/1080i TVs. So, that's going to change your graphic needs. I don't think crossfire is especially beneficial at low resolutions. A faster single card would be better. Wait for the new cards if you really need a new card, but the performance of your current card will be roughly the same on the TV, as the resolution is not much different.
