Ok, I am in a hot spot right now.

These are my computer specs:

Case: Cooler Master 690
OS: Vista Ultimate x64
CPU: AMD Phenom II X4 945 @ 3.0Ghz
Mobo: ASUS M4a785TD-EVO
Ram: 4GB Kingston
IGP: Ati Radeon 4200 on 785G
Display: VGA 1280x1024 @ 60Hz on 18inch Diag CRT
PSU: Corsair 650W

I want to play DMC4 and GTA4. Now people on IRC are telling that this is a basic no-no b/c my IGP would fry? break? Just not work? <-- this confuses me...

I looked on forums, and people are telling me that DMC4 and GTA4 are more CPU based. So I am like.. help D:? I just built this computer... less than a week ago. I need to know if I should get a new GFX card, or just deal with it and play DMC4 @ low graphics.

Can someone suggest a good graphics card for less than $100? I will be getting more case fans soon, but I need some suggestions.

This would be a good option for you. You will find that a graphics card helps a lot even if a game is cpu intensive.

A good cpu won't help unless you have a good gpu to back it up. Go for the 4850 or gts 250.
