Why wont my hp dvd writer 300n wont work

all of a sudden my drivers wont work i have the hp dvd writer 300n and IDE-DVD Rom 16x. The computer says they are there but i have warning lights on the device manager and says there is a problem. I need help please.

Go to system/device manager and right click on the drives and click remove them reboot and let windows install them.
