My laptop wont connect to any network

Last night my laptop somehow disconnected the network on its own. I have wi-fi and I used to be able to access the Internet through my mom's router. I tried to unplug the router and plug it back in (sometimes it works) but this time it didn't. I tried to connect a network on my laptop and it doesn't show any networks I can connect. My laptop was working fine until this happened. My laptop isn't that old. Can someone help me please?

Just check to see if there's a hardware switch for the wireless on the case -- usually on the front edge or side.

Alternatively go Start, Control Panel, System, Hardware, Device Manager and see if the Wireless Network Adapter is present and isn't flagged as problematic.
