Hello,
I recently installed speedfan. It reports overheating (flame) next to TEMP1, no matter if idle or working, or at any fan speed(s). What component is monitored by TEMP1?? All fans are working. Compaq S6500nx, withVIA KM400A motherboard. Thank you.

Most likely its your northbridge or your CPU temp. Speedfan has them warnings set pretty low when you first install it. What are all the temps reading?

TEMP1 34C
Temp2 45 - 50C
HD0 36C
Temp1 60C (This has a flame next to it at all times, and never moves from 60C regardless of usage, idle time, etc.)

Thank you.
