i have a dell precision 380 desktop with a intel 955x chipset and want to install either a nvidia 9600gt or a ati 4670 graphic card. is it possible? and do i need to take care of the memory on the graphic card.

i955x supports PCI Express x16 Interface so a 9600 or 4670 will work, PSU is rated at 375watts, so you will need something with a bit more oomph and dedicated gpu power connections.

The psu has a dedicated peg connector, a 30 amp 12v rating, and would laugh at the cards mentioned, no need to upgrade.

:o  Guilty of not looking at the original post date
