and, I am looking to purchase this right now, about to click the "approve" on my credit card. I am buying 2 of these to upgrade from my 2 old GTX8800's into this SLI configuration, so I can atleast be a little more up to date on GPUS. Anyone oppose?

I'd wait for the ATI 58xx cards to be released first. That should drive prices down.

I'd wait on the 58xx series as well, but I might be confused by the question - are you just looking to upgrade your GPU or an entire system?

Just looking to upgrade my GPU...

I feel as if my 9550 is fast enough on 790i ultra, but just a little more gimped as far as my graphics goes?

Why would you want to waste money on sli'd 275's when the 5 series ATI's are literally days away.

What is your resolution and what games are giving you trouble with your current setup? Keep in mind, graphics card prices only move in one direction over time, so the longer you can wait the better deal you will get. If you are in urgent need in order to play a certain game, answer the first question and there might be a cheaper alternative for you.

a single gtx260 would probably be more than enough for you

I feel as if a single gtx260 < 2 gtx8800 sli given my system specs and xp pro sp2

I would wait for the next generation of video cards, and for DX11, unless like belial2k said you where in urgent need to play a game and your current config it`s not enough.

Thanks blade. It's just that instant gratification dilemma, where I have the money and it's burning a hole in my pocket. I think I'm best off to wait like you guys advised.
