Amd phenom ii x4 925

i have a amd phenom ii x4 925 with a stock cpu cooler and i want to overclock it but i'm not sure if its a good idea. im not sure if the stock cpu cooler could move the heat fast enough. any ideas? or suggestions?

  1. Use "Core Temp" to monitor the CPU temp. You want to stay at or below 55C under P95, OCCT or Linpack stress testing. The stock HSF will probably not allow a lot of OC'ing but you can buy a nice CM Hyper 212+ for about $30. if you want to continue OC'ing further.
