Can't you put your graphics card in the 2nd PCI-E 16x slot and thereby free up your PCI-E 1x?

Obviously I'm not sure but I thought as both the PCI-E 16x slots electrically run at 16x you don't have to prioritise which slot you use.

@LePhuronn:

You're right although we don't know what motherboard he has and some are only electrically 8x on the second slot.

@Abdul Rafay

There you go then, use your 2nd PCI-E 16x for your graphics card and your PCI-E 1x slot is free.

Out of interest though, if you're not going dual GPUs. why did you get a gaming motherboard?

almost every motherboard has dual slots rampage 2 gene is a gaming motherboard but is cheap compared to other boards 212$

and other thing if i put my graphics card in the 2nd pci e slot i think
i will not go higher then 800 * 600 resolution. But i will try it

thanks for the answers by the way
