the price really diff u know, i live in MY and 9800gt cost 400 (512mb),
but u know how much this GTS 240 cost me ? only 280! and it beats
9800gt that is priced at 400, 280-480 is a huge diff, plus i got the performance too.

What I read indicated the 240 is not supposed to be available for retail sale, just installed in pre-builts. The 250 is the retail model.

The article linked above indicates its a 9800 GTX and the 250 is a 9800 GTX+. I've not seen a 240 for sale at a US etailer.

tru, i got it from some shop that sell them, this is OEM card with no branding.
just one lousy brown box with drivers, the card itself has no branding.
but still cheap than 9800, i dont knowo where those guys get it, maybe they plug it off some branded machine or something.

I recently bought a new dell that came with the OEM GTS 240, 1g Nvidia card. Shortly before buying this new computer I had purchased the GTS OC 250, 1g Nvidia card to help speed up my old computer.

I ran a benchmark test using the windows experience scan. The 240 card tested at a rating of 6.9 out of 7.9. I removed this card and installed the 250 I had recently purchased and ran the same benchmark test this time with a 7.0 rating.

While not noticable the 250 is slightly faster. I tested both cards out playing Crysis in High Mode. There was also a slight improvment in the texturing with the 250 as well.

With this in mind I packed the 240 into a box for safe keeping and will be sticking with the 250.

Hope this helps those who have access to both cards...

GT240 is a 128bit DDR3 (2000Mhz) with 96 SP, is like 9600GSO DDR3 but has a G2xx chip and Dx 10.1..
GTS250 is 50% faster than GT240 so is the price...
This Graphic is a little slower than the GF 9600GT because of the 128bit vs 256bit in GTS250/9600GT/9800GT
9800GT is 35% faster than GT240...
HD5670 is 10% faster than GT240..
GT240 is a good Video Card to play PS3 and Xbox games at medium-high setting...but soon when fase a PS4 game for PC i dont thing it will handle it like a GTS250 or a GTX 260...

For a low price computer is a Perfect choice...(Core2Duo/AMD x2).
But if you have a 22" monitor you better get a GTX260 to handle high resolutions and textures...
