Phenom II X3 720 vs Phenom II 925

I am looking at buying a new computer, so I chose the Phenom II X3 720BE for its versatility as both a multitasking and gaming, unlocking factor (4th Core), and a good platform under $500.

I just got done reading the latest Tom's Hardware article (http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/cool-n-quiet-power-management,2456.html) which showed major performance flaws, in which it ran slower than dual cores in some benchmarks.

So my question is what should I do? I really don't want to spend over $150 over on a good quad core proc.

Gigabyte 770 ATX

You have a good card. I suggest you to buy PII 925 since it is in your budget.

You can OC a 720BE can't always unlock the 4Th core.
