Who applications or activities would benefit from 1792MB RAM?

The memory is getting more and more. Recently I notice there are boards equipped with more than 1G, 1792MB, or 2G of RAM.
I can't help thinking one of the basics that I've taken for granted: what applications would need that much memory?

1792 mb memory is useless if the card is not fast enough to utilise it.
Imagine Pentium3 with 8 GB DDR3.What difference it will make?Nothing!

Whether it is fast enough is a relative term. So can we learn more from you about the difference between 1792 and 896 mb?

Higher resolutions...Anti-Aliasing...anything over 2GB of it is useless at this time.

It's obviously better to have more of it, but if you're looking for an FPS increase it won't give you much.
