PARTS PREFERENCES:
Graphics Card - Nvidia 275 gtx
Processor - Intel, amd if worth it
Mobo - No idea
HDD - 500gb
Ram - min 3gb
Case - will pick from suggestions
PSU - Enough for the card + everything else, but dont want an overkill amount

ADDITIONAL COMMENTS: Want it to be able to run cod 4, crysis etc, not fussed about noise. keeping the card cool is a problem for me as i live around a warm enviroment, so i would like to replace the 275 stock cooler. 1. ^ You can get an i7 rig with that budget of yours...but looking at your system usage, even an AMD rig is more than suffice for that and you can get a solid AMD rig within $1k budget too...
But I would like to say that even an i7 rig is very much possible with that budget of yours...

Here is an AMD rig -

Not bad yoot except that mushkin is only three gigs of ram, and even though the OP has Vista 32 for now......
  5. Yes I know, but if you look at the OP specs on what OS he has (Vista 32-bit) then it will work, otherwise I would of went with the OCZ Plat. from Amazon for 113.99 w/free shipping for a 6gb(3x2gb) kit. :)

@Team17_999 you have many options to choose from...but any would be good...

Your Build was very good too. The other option the OP has was to wait for the Core i5/P55 due out by Mid October.
  8. yea lots of options :), thanks for all this, ill probably choose a mix of all of them, thanks alot :)
