I know this question has probably been asked 1000 times but i want to make sure.
I have a 680i mobo and have to get a new video card because my 8800GTX died. I have a 680i mobo and was wondering if this card

would work with my mobo although it is PCIe 2.0 and my mobo is PCIe 1.0.

It will work in a PCIE 1.0 slot.
Like your 8800GTX did .

I have yet to see any articles or tests to define whether or not there is any difference between the two using the graphic cards available at this time, in the future however the benefits of more bandwidth and the extra 75w that comes with PCIe 2.0 should be utilised to more of a degree.

Not much for now.
The 1.0 slot will held your card back but only upto a small extent.
Its not worth upgrading your mobo for that cause.

Your fine. Getting a less powerful GPU would have more effects than running that 275 in 1.0 slot.
