Not sure if this is the right forum for it, apologies if its not.
Basically after getting some build advice on the new systems forum, I have assembled my PC and am quite happy with it. Problem is when I plug in the USB headphones, i'm still getting sound through the speakers, aswell as *some* sound through the headphones ie on games that I manually set.
System is core i7 on the Asus P6T running Windows 7 RC. Don't know if there is any other info that is needed. Not too familiar with Windows 7 as i've just taken the plunge from XP. On XP when I plugged in the headphones all sound came thru them, so this issue has got me stumped.
Yeah they both still work. Its just a pain that I have to manually set the audio to come out of the headphones every time I plug them in.
Done some research and found that if I set the headphones to default device, whenever I plug them in everything will go through them, and when I unplug them itll just revert back to the speakers. Don't know how ideal this fix is, but it works for now. Also in the process of downloading the most recent Realtek drivers, so will have to see how that goes too.
Microsoft does have an official Windows 7 RC Support Forum located here http://tinyurl.com/9fhdl5 . It is supported by product specialists as well as engineers and support teams. You may want to check the threads there for additional support.
