SSD for Thinkpad X220

Hi -
Has anyone yet sussed out which SSD Drives are compatibile with the new X220 range?
The existing disk looks like a micro drive (1.8"?) and i need to replace this with an SSD.
The only 1.8" SSD I have found out there so far is the Intel X18-M ..

Is that the correct type of drive to fit this machine, an 1.8" unit?

Thanks

  1. You could also use a 50mm mSATA SSD.

B2CIT have launched a Sales Promotion during 20th -30th June. 120GB Renice mSATA Promotion price is 249.9$ with a mSATA to SATA adaptor for free! I am so excited to share with you about this wonderful deal.

LOL, I already mention about the msata. And you post smell a bit like the billboard of B2CIT. If you are advertising, I will report you. If you are a legit forum member, try not behaving so much like a salesperson next time, its confusing.
  3. Renice is a good SSD brand, I expect the numbers to be true.

Still, I'm holding off until I see some user reviews of this baby.

    I tested it with CrystalDiskMark:
    Sequential read/write: 190MB/S 100MB/S
    512k read/write: 185MB/S 108MB/S
    4k Random read/write: 12MB/S 20MB/S
    4k Raddom read/write (QD32): 10MB/S 90MB/S
A little higher than the benchmarks published by B2CIT
