When installing a new processor, I managed to get a very small amount of thermal grease between the pins, on the motherboard.

What would the easiest method be, to remove the grease without harming the pins?

Maybe twist up toilet paper and then curve it into a loop and gentle rub it on the pins.

Alcohol on a Q-Tip.

You want to remove (dissolve) the grease while not dissolving anything else, or leaving microscopic lint.

I saw that thread - it mentions isopropyl alcohol and coffee filter paper. Other methods are discussed. Not a bad read.

I would keep the 750W for future upgrades and possible SLI in the future. Will save you...
