i am using asus rampage 2 gene motherboard and i have ati 4890 card i am wondering can i later use direct x 11 ati card together with the 4890 card

no, you will need one of the unreleased hd5800 graphics cards to use the DX11 API

Welcome to the forums!

It really depends on what you want to do with it.
You will NOT be able to CrossFire it with a 5xxx series card.
You should be able to use it independently for more monitor outputs.
