I just bought a 1 TB external Seagate "GoFlex" drive for extra storage. I'm a bit paranoid on the drive failing with all my important stuff on it so just wondering if running HD diagnostics on a regular basis actually will warn if the HD is about to fail or are those utilities meant more for seeing whats an existing problem is. I know its a bit of a dumb question but any help is appreciated. Thanks!
Everyone should be as conserned about losing there data before there is a problem. Having your Data on 3 different disks is a great idea... your normal HDD... your Go Flex drive and a DVD would be a safe way to go.
