What do you mean? Other than core components, you basically decide on what is installed or what services will run.

I'm not sure I understand your question. To install Windows Server 2003, you need a copy of that OS. There are a few versions, but I presume that you need the Standard Edition if your server has 4 GB of memory or less. The much more expensive Enterprise Edition supports a lot more memory. The latest version is Windows Server 2003 R2.
