First off I'd like to say that I'm looking for a new graphics card for my old PC (an HP pavilion a767c)

The current card is a Radeon x300 SE (which is PCI-E 1.0a) so I'm assuming since that stock card is 1.0a, that my motherboard only supports PCI-E 1.0a

So I'm looking into an upgrade to a PCI-E 2.0 card, will a PCI-E 2.0 be compatible with my 1.0a motherboard?

Thanks for your time, Brandon.

any PCI-E 2.0 card should work with any board with PCI-E 1.x because they have backward compatibility
