Graphic card recommendation

Hello,just wanted to ask you guys if you can help me in choosing graphic card for my pc.
I wanted to buy nvidia GTX 260 saw its benchamrks and its betetr than 9800 gtx and 8800 gtx too,let me know if thatc ard would fit good with my current rig for gaming purposes,also is my current PSu enough for that card,THANKS !!!


Current componenets are:

Intel Core 2 Quad processor Q9550 2.8 ghz
Asus P5Q Se P45 Chipset
Ram is 4GB
hard drive 500 gb
PSu 500 watts

I would get the soon to be released renamed GTX 260 in a week or two. It's going to be sold as the HD 5770 and comes with DX11. Luckily it's also faster than the silly ATI card called the HD 4870 and even the 4890.

That rebadged 5770 will set you back $170-190 and if that's too steep try the $150 HD 5750 which is also DX11 part and will drop your electric bill by 50% over the much older GTX260. :)

Thanks for reply what possible prices gonna be for new renamed 260 gtx?
Also I don't like ATI always had some problems with them before.

what is the brand of ur psu? generally a good brand 500W psu is enough for gtx260 and quad core setups. And yes wait for a while. the 5770 takes less power less heat and outperform gtx260. if u dont like ati then wait i guess nvidia is getting a 40nm version of gt200 series cards. grab those instead and meanwhile the price will drop to a reasonable one
