Raid Drive Upgrade...Help

Greetings,


One of the drives in my RAID 1 array failed last night. I purchased the two drives about three years ago. I went online to buy a replacement and there is a newer version of the drive avaizlable.

I'd like to get the new one...recreate the RAID (data on the first drive is still in tact which is pretty badass), and then of the other one fails just replace it with the new drive. is that possible?
