Was going to order today, but wanted some opinions. Is it worth waiting for the Asrock to come back in stock, or is the EVGA comparable? Building an i7 gaming rig. (Or, if anyone can point out another board.) Thanks for any help.
The ASRock is the bang for the buck...If you are not in a hurry, then certainly wait for it to restock...
But surely the EVGA is the better of the 2...
There are very good alternatives though...
1. Gigabyte UD3R -
Pros -
- Price
- Supports both SLI and Crossfire
- Gigabyte Quality
Cons -
- Just has 4 RAM slots(But if you are not planning for more than 6GB, then this can be overlooked)
+1 for the ASUS Rampage or the UD3R (if planing to put 12GB forget it on the UD3R). EVGA boards are also quite good. I still don't trust ASRock quality.
