Ddr3 tripple channel question

I have my tripple channel memory left over from my previous i7 (x58) setup. now i use a i7 (p55) would it harm the memory if i use it in dual channel in the P55 chipset?

No. Just check the recommend ram voltage and timings if you are trying to mix pairs of ram. During the first post, you can change the ram voltage manually if the board default setting doesn't work. Lower is always better if the ram is stable. Some ram runs fine at 1.5 volts; others require 1.65.
