Whats the lowest vCore you can go for an OC 4.5 i2500k?

I currently have mine at 1.2v, I raised it to 1.3v and temps raised 20C, thats insane! It's currently 68C load and 40C idle.

The vcore required for any particular speed will vary with the CPU. Having said that, if you have any Intel Core2 processor, your load temps are within Intel recommended limits.

If you are using the stock heatsink, a better aftermarket HSF will help a lot. The stock heatsink isn't good for much more than stock voltage.

Mine's around 1.26-1.27v for 4.5GHz.

68 load is completely fine though, you're good until you start hitting load Prime temps of around 80 imo. My highest temp on a single core after a 13 hour Prime run was 69 at 4.4GHz/1.24v

That seems really hot for 1.3V... If you have a stock cooler, only moderate OCing is really safe. 4.5 will be rolling the dice on frying your CPU. I'm working on 4.6 GHz and am at 1.38V and topping out at 68C. I have realtemp shut down my computer if I go over 70C, but I'm probably being conservative. Considering the cost of the CPU, it's worth it to me.

oh, I'm using hyper 212+ in push/pull
