Does anybody know if the Gigabyte GA-MA785GM-US2H motherboard (retail) come with SATA cables to connect to a hard drive and dvd burner?
Or, do I need to purchase those separate?

You can find an image of the 'bundle' here:

It appears to include a pair of (data) cables; if you do not have SATA power connectors on your PSU, you will need adapters to go from MOLEX to SATA - buy a few extra. I have a sizeable, and ever growing pile of bad ones, and they are the devil's own task to troubleshoot - flex 'em one way, work fine, flex 'em a different way (or even worse, let 'em 'relax' into a new position for a half hour) and powee - 'disappearing drive'!!
