Asus P8Z68-V Pro3/Gen3 Compatiable With?.............

I've read on the manual that some RAM may not be compatible with this motherboard and to use the Memory button. I'm a little cautious about the RAM i have as of now, can anyone tell me more about the button and if this RAM will work? The RAM is Patriot Performance Series Sector 5 8gb DDR3-1333.
