  1. The RAM you list is for Intel builds. You want a 4GB kit not 6GB. I can't tell you if your board will fit in your case without knowing what case you have. Is it a micro-ATX case or full ATX?

As to the I/O shield (the part that the audio ports stick out of) a new one will come with the motherboard.
  2. its a micro atx
  3. like i can fit a 23cm video card easily.
  4. If you have a micro ATX case then the full ATX MSI 770 won't work, right?

Here is a board for you.

  5. You definitely need a m-atx mb if you have a m-atx case .

And the section of the case around the outlet ports actually ships with the motherboard and clips in place in the case . That way no matter what arrangement of audio and usb etc it always fits

Nice mb mentioned by Proximon , just be sure you buy a 2 x 2 gig kit of DDR3 for it
  6. will my video card fit in my case? or no? btw..thanks for helping out a somewhat noob :)
  7. will this new computer im buildig work good for another year? with games mostly. medium to full settings/

You'll need to provide a link to what case you have in order for us to answer that question. There are a lot of microATX cases out there. :)

Have you already built the system? If not, be sure to swap the RAM for a dual channel kit like mentioned above. The RAM you picked is designed for the Intel i7 chips.
  10. how about this ram..

    G.SKILL 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600

and the case is from MDG that i bought about 3 years ago..its a small atx case..how do i let u know what kind it is..please post. :)

    swap for a ddr2 u mean?
  11. Which G.Skill RAM kit are you looking at? All these match your description:

    http://www.newegg.com/Product/ProductList.aspx?Submit=ENE&DEPA=0&Order=BESTMATCH&Description=G.SKILL+4GB+%282+x+2GB%29+240-Pin+DDR3+SDRAM+DDR3+1600&x=0&y=0

I'm not familiar with MDG. Is that a computer manufacturer? Where did you buy the system from?
  12. can u give me a micro atx motherboard from www.newegg.ca not com please..
  13. mdg sells computers here in canada.. www.mdg.ca

i already have the gigabyte motherboard here in town so i'll just buy it from here but the rest im buying from newegg.ca
before ending this thread..how will my system perform with these things? good for 1 year ?
  14. The motherboard Proximon linked above is also available on the .ca site.

GIGABYTE GA-MA785GMT-UD2H AM3 AMD 785G HDMI Micro ATX AMD Motherboard - Retail

That RAM will work fine. It has a slower CAS 9 rating, but a good CAS 7 kit will cost you about $20 more.
  15. im getting the motherboard for even cheaper price of $97.99 canadian instead of newegg.ca's price of 104.99

but the rest of the stuff like video card, memory and cpu wil get from newegg.ca
