first thing what is your system spec. and is it a laptop of pc

if all the drivers are avalible for the system (and you have less then 4GB of ram or you need 64bit XP) you should not have to much of a hard time.

and just out of intrest why do you want to go back to xp it is getting a bit dated now.

Run your XP cd install. When given the chance, delete all partitions and create a new one to install Xp to.

Be sure to back up any data first and have your XP drivers ready.
