Here are the 2 builds

GPU : VGA (ATI) 4890 OC 1GB Gigabyte

HDD : 3.5" SATA 1TB 32MB Seagate
Cooling : Noctua NH-U12P
RAM : DDR2 4GB
MOBO : Gigabyte EP45-UD3R

or

CPU : Intel i5 750
GPU : VGA (ATI) 4890 OC 1GB Gigabyte
Monitor : 23.6" WS LCD Samsung 2494HS
HDD : 3.5" SATA 1TB 32MB Seagate
Cooling : Noctua NH-U12P
RAM : DDR3 4GB
MOBO : Gigabyte EP55-UD3R
DVD : Blu-Ray Combo Pioneer
PSU : Thermaltake ToughPower 600W
Case: Antec 900 v2

Which would be the better gaming machine, Would go the i7 but cost it pretty high, and so are the temps.

Thanks for the info in advance

I would go for the i5 because of the new socket.

Sorry didnt see the above thread.

The PC will be used for Gaming and movies.
The cost is around $2000 AUD

So one or the other above or close, Im leaning towards the i5

I have a Q9550 - great chip. But if I were planning to build now, I'd wait and see what the reviews and tests show and go with i5 or i7.
