So what do you all think is the new 125W PII 965 just about the peak of the deneb architecture? or do you think they have a 975 and maybe a 985 up their sleeve still? just wondering when to pull the trigger for a final upgrade on my am2+ system.

Well the 975 is set to come out but they are kinda peaking thier OCing headroom to try to stay competative. I think if they push any further it will lose its luster beyond the 965.

In fact I suggest most people looking into a Phenom II to get a 955 and OC it because it cheaper and just as fast as a 965 or a 975 will be.

Thanks for the info i didn't know about the 975's. Not going to overclock though, changing the multiplier turns off cool and quiet on my motherboard (maybe i'll check the newer bios'es and see if thats still true though) and my computer runs 24/7. I will however wait for the 975 to come out now, and then decide 955, 965, 975 based on price and availability. My little 7750 is still chugging along so i can wait.
Thanks again
