Hello, i don;t know anything about overclocking. But, i wanna OC my processor...
Here are my specifications:

Intel C2D e7500 @2.93 MHz
Asus P5KPL AM-PS
Ram - 2*2GB Transcend 800MHz= 4GB
HDD - Samsung 80GB
PSU - 2*400 Watt= 800Watt
Graphic Card - Sapphire Ati Radeon 6770 1GB GDDR5
Operating System - Windows 7 32 Bit
Temperature - Normal - 37-38
Load - Max 60

CPU Z shows this things -
Core speed - 1600 Mhz
Multiplier - x6
Bus speed - 266.9 MHz
Rated FSB - 1067.8 MHz
Core Voltage - 1.248V

My PC's motherboard got a option of Overclock Profile and when i select it, it shows option of overclocking 5%, 10%, 15%, 20%, 25%, 30%.

What should i do now, please tell me...

And actually i wanna OC to play games. I tried to play Call of Duty Black Ops, but it's too slow to play, whereas on youtube peoples on same as my specification play it at high settings. I think it's something to do with Overclocking.
What you say guys...???

Although many E7500's will run faster than 4 GHz, your motherboard is going to limit you to around 3.7 GHz.

The G31/G41 chipset is an economy, entry level chipset. Unless you get really lucky, you will not be able to push the FSB freq past about 360 MHz. I have a G'byte G41 board. FSB freq of 352 MHz works. 353 MHz doesn't.

CPU-Z is showing your CPU running at 1.6 GHz under idle conditions. When the CPU load increases, the CPU will go to full speed automatically. It's called SpeedStep.

This should be your first stop.

Do not exceed 1.45 volts core voltage or 70 C load temps.

Thanks for reply.
Like i described that my motherboard has already option of overclocking, so if i do that to 15%, will that be OK for my Cpu. and i will be satisfied if my Cpu goes around 3.6 MHz for now.
Is that can be possible...??

Yes.

I have an E7500. In one of my 3 G41 boards, it will run all day at 3.87 GHz. In my GA-EP35-DS3P, it runs at 4.11 GHz.

i have changed my motherboard overclock profile to 10% and now it shows the following changes:
Bus speed - 292.5MHz
Rated FSB - 1168.6MHz
Core Voltage - 1.288 V
Core Speed - 3214MHz
Normal Temp - 37-38C
Load Temp - 61 Max

Is that OK with my PC and does all these things are normal or is there anything that i have to change...??
Actually i wanna make CPU Core speed to around 3.6Ghz, so please tell what changes i have to make to do so...??
