CoolerMaster CPU cooler help

Last response: in Overclocking

Hi,
I'm building a computer and was wondering which CPU cooler I should get, the CM V8 or the CM V6 GT.
The case is the CoolerMaster storm enforcer and the CPU is an i5-2500k which I will overclock with an ASRock E4 G3 motherboard. I want it to be coolermaster so the case, cpu cooler and psu are all the same brand. They are very similarly priced so just wondering about performance, noise, quality and also if both fit in the case. I have vengeance 8gb RAM as well, will that get in the way? Any help is welcome.

Thanks

Hi.

The V8 is pure crap, so, avoid that and move on to the V6GT. Another good option is the thermalright archon or Hyper 212 evo suggested by blade061188.

Best solution

i had CM V6GT for 1year so far.
It very nice cooling system.
now my 2nd pc use h100 for cooling units.
But still V6GT is very nice cooling system for my first build.
And V10 .... -_-;; not for me... too big and too expensive... not that great cooling review.

How did you arrive at those two choices? Just curious.

Have you looked at the 212 EVO? It is also an excellent cooler and cheaper than those choices

I have ordered the 212 EVO. I just asked about these two, cause when I compare the 3, people just say EVO cause it's cheaper and a little better without actually comparing them all.
