can i use the ddr3 1333 mhz ram with the core i-7 920 processor because i read that the maximum speed of core i-7 920 processor is 1066 mhz. will it cause any kind of damage to the processor or to the computer

As long as you choose ram that does not require voltage in excess of 1.65V you will be fine. People who intend to do heavy OCs tend to pick 1600MHz ram, but you wont notice a difference in everyday computing between 1600MHz and 1333MHz, and you certainly wont harm anything.
