Linksys wrt54g timesout and cuts internet connection

my router disconnects the internet connection for the small network I created. The router is configured mostly at default settings and extended the DHCP client lease time to 9999 hours or 6 something days. Why is this happening and what is the possible solution for this issue

One PC is connected via cable and is using Vista, 1 MAC and Vista pc connected via wi fi, is there any conflict with the system, using a WEP key for encryption

are you cable or adsl?
