Which chip?

I've got a emachines W3503 Celeron D 3.3Ghz. I want to swap the chip for a Pentium 4 3.0E. The thing is the P4 chip is a 478 socket and the board is 775, but i can use a socket plate adapter.Looking at the specs. the P4 chip seems better in all areas except clock speed is little less. I know i need to update the bios first and the drivers. Anything else?
