Help with contrasting colours (?) bad blacks!!

hey all
here is the skini
i have a flatron w2252tq and when displaying dark colours (all ive noticed, might be with the other colors) the colours dont blend with each other, leaving the black area all blotchy. not good in shadow areas on games, almost pathetic!!
here is a picture of what i mean (was taken using a camera phone. if i used print screen, it would apear fine on your monitor, more than likely )

can anyone help us fix this problem

ps: just for a laugh my digital tv just broke, ha ha looked over and bang!

Upgrade the monitor? What else could you possibly do? The problem with LCDs is color reproduction. Because they use a back light, they CAN'T show true black. Its impossible. You can get a different monitor that does a better job of showing black, or one that uses a better back light and see if that helps. You can also try playing with your monitors settings to see if you can minimize it.

it would be about 2 months old atleast, never realy noticed untill last month. i think its under warrenty so i may get them to fix or what ever
