New to overclocking looking for advice

Hello all ok so i just built my first real computer from the ground up. Short of just swapping out different parts this is the first time i've actually messed with installing a motherboard and new processor along with a cpu cooler. That being said my old stuff didn't allow any overclocking and now that i can with my new setup i'm looking for some advice on how to improve the performance of the hardware i have. Any advice or recommended settings would be great and here's my system specs.

Motherboard-ASUS P8P67 WS REVOLUTION LGA 1155 Intel P67
CPU-Intel Core i5-2500K Sandy Bridge 3.3GHz
CPU Cooler-Noctua NH-D14 120mm & 140mm SSO CPU Cooler
Memory-G.SKILL Ripjaws X Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600
