I'm planning on building a new HTPC(which will also double as my gaming rig). Since I'm planning to watch my Blu ray collection on my new HTPC I was wondering whether I should wait and get the ATI 5xxx series graphics cards. I read(or thought I read :)) that these new series of graphics cards would bit stream DTS - Master Audio and Dolby True HD..

So is it worth the wait ?? Will these next gen cards remove the need for a separate audio card or will they jus bit stream 8 channel LPCM as the 4xxx series do...

Plz enlighten me...

Nope. All audio is LCPM when using ATI. If you want to stream/decode DTS-MA/TrueHD audio over HDMI, get something like a ASUS HDAV1.3 or Auzentech Home Theatre.
