DUAL chanel momory

hi guys
i have intel dg 965 board
as manfecturer mentions that its supports upto 8 gb.
so simply i wana ask that , is it better for me that use daul chanel momey?
i have 4 slots of memory,
one pear of ram,s slot is black and one is blue

so if i will put same ram,s in suppose 1gb and 1gb more in blue slots,
so is it will b dual chanel .
explain little bit about it

If you have 2 identical modules, install them in the same color slots for dual channel mode, i.e., both in the black slots or both in the blue slots.
