Games Freeze and Hang for no apparent reason

Games will freeze for no reason even though i have q6600, gtx 260 and 4gb ram. GPU and CPU temps are fine and although i have overclocked CPU to 3.0 i dont think that is the reason because it happens even at stock. I also have 450w corsair vx and 780i mobo.

And ideas why its happening, oh and im on newest drivers.

What ram do you have in there? Did you set the timings and voltage manually?

Have you used something like hw monitor to watch your temps and make sure nothing is overheating? Did this problem start recently or is this a new build?

I have kingston hyper x limited edition 1066 ram and yeah i set it to spec at 2.2v. And its fairly new build however i have always had this problem i have jus tried to put up with it.

Have you run Memtest86+ to test for RAM errors? Freezing problems are often caused by faulty RAM.

I ran memtest for about 45 minutes i think and had no errors, should that cover it?

You need to run multiple full passes to fully test the RAM. I've seen RAM make five successful passes and then start giving errors.
