Ati Hd 4870 would be the best, a little future proofing can't hurt

first link I found, so it might not be the lowest price out there

does the video card memory matter if i'm just playing at 1280 x 1024 resolution? i want to save some money but if the price difference isn't that much between a 512 and 1gb, would it still be practical to get the 1gb 4870 in terms of performance? thanks for your reply btw

hands down 9600gt 2gb sparkle card ..... runs everything on highest settings and is really good even though its out dated

the amazon deal is horrible.

there's really no point in getting over 512mb at that resolution but the link i posted is a 4870 1gig. Only recommended that card since its on sale and is priced at the same card with 512mb.

9600gt 2gig is a waste. The 9600gt cant even use 2gig of memory. I would not recommend that card at all.

If you really want to save money a 4850 is the best option in my opinion.

+1. 2GB on the 9600GT and even GTX is quite pointless.
