I am not sure software would be ideal, but I tried installing Speedfan and it did not make a difference. (installed the software ran it and it didn't do anything) I believe it is because my case fans are not connected to the mobo but I am not sure how to connect them so that they will be monitored and controlled. I would also be ok with a hardware controller. Advice on either of these would be great.

don't know if it makes a difference but I am using a cooler master Haf case and the fans that came with it.

If they aren't too noisy, just plug them to the mobo and set at full speed. If they're noisy plug them into the mobo and go to the fan settings and turn them down. You'll get an option like 1/10 to 10/10 for speed. Not real time changes though but for case fans not a huge deal.

how do you plug them into the motherboard? Im using an Asus p6t v2 deleuxe if it matters

Look at your motherboard manual. It will have details on everything. If you lost it, you can find it on the Asus site aswell.
