750 watt help please

hello everyone i have a tiny problem and im not sure where this thread would go so i decided to post it here. i just got a 4870 asus dark knight 1 gb and i checked the bios on the card and it tell me please plug in the other power cable and i looked at it and it was plugged in. so im not sure if one of the rails is bad or if the plug on the card is bad . and im not sure how to test it. please i fyou can help me i would greatly appreciate it

Which model PSU do you have?

Have you tried using one of the other power connectors? If you have a 750W PSU you likely have multiple PCI-E connectors, try with a different connector, it may be a bad connection.

what PSU using now ?

you use 6+2 pin or 8 pin ?

The 4870's have two PCI-e power connectors on the back of the card. Do you have both PSU cables plugged in?

i have a hec 750 watt power supply its a year old

mys ystem is over clocked
i have a tri core phenom 2 at 2.6 vcore is 1.55 i think or 1.50 one of them
the memory is set to normal timings
the video card is set to 760 clock speed
900 for memory clock
i can play a v a or combat arms for hours on end and nothing happens or i could be just surfing and nothing happens. it only happens in grphic intensive games.
oh and i just got the asus dark knight 4870 1gb both of the connectors are plugged in so thats not the problem and i have no warning leds or anythign on the card please help me

heres an update i tried a diffrent video card it didnt shut donw but whne it dose shut down with the 4870 i have to hit the switch on the back of the psu and un plugg it and wait a bit then it works again
