Went to turn on my PC today and it wont post... just hangs on the splash screen. My system has been rock solid for years.... I have had no issues at all until today.

Im running

E6700 (if I recall correctly)
CORSAIR XMS2 DHX 8GB (4 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM

I have made no changes at all.... suddenly today Im having this issue. I tried resetting the bios by taking out the battery and trying to boot with the bare minimum connected (no HDD etc.)

Is my MB fried?

Try disconnecting your PSU power cord - wait for 30 seconds then reconnect it and boot the PC. Sometimes the PSU gets a little confused and needs a reset.

If that doesn't work you'll need to work out whether it is your PSU that's fried or the Mobo itself.
